With all the current stress in the world, we are left worrying and overthinking which can really put a strain on the amount of sleep we get. That’s why we’ve put together a few top tips to help you sleep better.
Turn off the tech
Stop scrolling through social media or checking emails when you get into bed. Swap this for a book to help you nod off and calm your mind.
Read a book before bed
Following on from point 1, If you create a bedtime ritual like reading, it can send signals to your body that it’s time to wind down and sleep.
Get into a routine
Try going to bed at the same time each night – you might have the odd late night, but try getting into a routine as much as you can.
Practice relaxation techniques
Try deep breathing exercises before bed to help you relax. Breathing exercises can help you unwind your brain which contributes to a better night’s sleep.
Limit your caffeine intake
Too much caffeine could be one of the reasons why you are not getting enough sleep. Caffeine can upset sleep and make you feel irritated as well as tired so ensure your caffeine intake is limited.
